Summary: Three department store girls--Connie, Franky, and Jerry--share an apartment on West 91st Street in New York City. Each earns little more than 20 dollars per week. Jerry is the sensible one, but the others throw themselves at amoral rich men in an attempt to hook one and better themselves. Story about men using and taking advantage of 'innocent' women with Joan Crawford as the strong one resisting the games they play. All three women Joan Crawford, Anita Page and Dorothy Sebastian do well in their roles on their way to different destinies. The 3 situations make the movie a joy to follow. And it doesn't hurt that there is a lot of women modeling in sexy nightgowns and such too.
