Has there ever been a plainer movie than Out of Control? As a portrait of one femme fatale's kinship-apparent to a kindly gentleman, the film might have sizzled with the air of post-Noir excitation. Alas, Trevor's affair is but a damp squib, able only to convince itself of its cleverness and conpetence - not the audience.
