Tense but sensitively handled story of a true life massacre.

I can't say anything bad about the quality of the film, I just didn't connect with the events portrayed.

"Out of the Blue" is a true story about a crazed gunman's shooting rampage through an isolated New Zealand village. I think the ultimate goal of its producer is to accurately chronologize the spree and honor those who died. The film effectively does this; it seems very real. However, in not embellishing the story a bit, it seems as if the events are stretched to accommodate appropriate "run time". Blue could have been much more exciting had it not struggled to remain true to the story.
