Summary: Shot in one, continuous take, PVC-1 is inspired by the true story of an innocent woman’s struggle for survival after she is fitted with a collar bomb. In Colombia, a woman and her family became the victim of an unusual act of terrorism. The director goes for shock tactics here, strapping the bomb onto his innocent mother-of-three's neck in the first scene of the movie. The rest pans out like Speed with a budget of $50 dollars. I think Sandra Bullock would be good in a remake of this. Interesting to watch, but it feels like the screenwriter did a runner after only 20 pages, leaving everyone else involved to improvise the rest of the movie on the spot. High concept, low execution.
