Summary: Haridas (Mammootty), a Delhi-based private detective, comes to his birth place of Paleri in North Kerala, with his mistress & crime analyst Sarayu (Gowri Munjal), to investigate the rape & murder of Manikyam (Maithili), an incident which happened more than 50 years ago, on Haridas's birthday. Although everyone suspected of the crime, including the prime suspect, ruthless landlord Ahmed Haji (Mammootty), were long dead, Haridas takes up the case as he also happened to be Haiji's illicit son.
