Summary: In the backward hamlet of Airavatakkuzhi, henpecked Panchayat president Dushasana Kurup (Gopi) & his clique of corrupt Panchayat members look to raise Kurup's fame by attaching his name to a new bridge, even if that meant destroying the current, perfectly functional bridge. Spreading the rumor that the current bridge is weak, they procure the permission to demolish it & a farce of mammoth proportions ensue in the effort for the new bridge, with everybody in the game seeking personal gains.
