It's not as consistantly hilarious as the series and there are plenty of very awkward lingering shots but "A Town Called Panic" is one of the best stop-motion animations (and animations in general) of recent years and is brilliantly entertaining, charming and original.

A surreal, funny and enjoyable film which doesn't outstay its welcome.

Steven has a picture of Janine on his tractor. I honestly think they have the strongest marriage I've ever seen depicted on film.

This is what a children's film should be, a rambunctious cocktail of imagination where everything is possible and logic is irrelevant. if you don't like this, you are probably some kind of psychopath.

A very amusing, if admittedly rarely laugh out loud, animated comedy where anarchy and imagination reign. Didn't always work for me, but it does have a few inspired moments.

Zany, without story, only works for about ten minutes, making this movie an hour too long.

The squeaky-voiced slapstick of Cowboy, Indian and Horse is quirky and endearing for 2-minute intervals. Unfortunately the film, at 74 minutes length, feels way too long. There are funny moments but the absurdist humour fails to generate the character depth or emotional engagement of a Wallace and Gromit, to which it will inevitably be compared. Nice to see some creative independent animation in cinemas, but this formula just doesn't work.

It's quite zany. Basically its like watching a French version of Robot Chicken without any pop culture references. Some really bizarre and hilarious ideas and visuals, I just wish it could have been dubbed, usually I would prefer subtitles, but the dialogue is so fast and erratic that it would have played better to me if it were dubbed and I could focus entirely on the visuals. Oh well, I'm sure the DVD release will have an English language track.

Pretty amusing, but not directly because the jokes were so well thought-out. It's more a combination of the hokey animation, the delightful absurdity of it all, and the good voice acting.

Very enjoyable

The film equivalent of a small child improvising some stupid, ludicrous story at an unstoppable pace with the most bizarre segues between each wonderful and wacky scenario. And just like the kid telling the story, the teller doesn't acknowledge HOW insane their concoction is.

An hour less would have done it.

Really zany. A lot of little things gave it charm.
