There's like 50 minutes of new stuff padded into clips from the first two, i dont even care anymore. WHATEVER PEOPLE.

Obviously does not have the shock value of the first (or even the second) film, but a it definitely has a happier ending.

I didn't know anything that happened after the second documentary, so this was sort of a surprise ending (?). It's interesting to note the roles of Judge David Burnett and jury foreman Kent Arnold. I wish they had done some more research on these two. It's also kind of sad that probably a fling of the wife of Terry Hobbs initiated all this mess. But who knows, maybe future events will warrant a fourth documentary. I'll be sure to watch it.

This should be called Paradise Lost 3: Catharsis as far as I'm concerned. Well, kind of, I think you may want to all the people involved in the conviction of the West Memphis Three to go to jail themselves even more when the travesty of justice they committed comes to complete fruition and they still stand by saying they did the right thing.

Berlinger and Sinofsky already had screenings of the film scheduled when the 3 were abruptly released from prison. You can feel that rush to an ending a bit but overall it's still a great film. My only real complaint is that the film never makes much of an effort to apologize to Byers, who they spent 90% of the last film accusing and now praise as the rational one.

Although there might not be much new for people who have closely followed this case.
The documentary does help guide the viewer through the events leading up to what they thought was going to be a new evidentary trial to how it became an Alford Plea scenario.
I do have to agree with fellow reviewers in that I would have liked to see a more human side to the documentary. I know that when the epilogue played out for me in reality it was a very emotional time, which I didn't get from this doc

It's a very intriguing case and I appreciate the documentaries, but the 2nd and now 3rd installments are mostly clips from the previous films. If you don't have enough original material for a full-length documentary, they just have a 45-minute or hour-long special.

Would've actually preferred a little more sappiness given the circumstances; was a bit too procedural.

The title is a bit off-putting but the movie itself is actually pretty good, at least if you haven't seen the first two.

Follows a lot of the same traps as Revelations, including an overly accusatory stance on Terry Hobbs that continues to miss the point of the original film. Paradise Lost 3 serves less as a documentary and more as an epilogue or "where are they now" stamp on this bizarre tale of injustice. Anyone interested should check out the first film and watch the final 20 minutes of this film. The rest of this trilogy is filler.

Very solid addition to the horrifying true crime saga. I won't spoil the recent developments for those who don't know, just note that I saw the TIFF cut to which 12 minutes will be added, apparently. This third film does a good job of recapping the first precisely, using old - and some new - material. It's both good and hard to see the three convicts so many years later and this time Byers, in a perfect reversal, (once again) dominates the frame. All of the interviews are incredibly captivating.
