Summary: Jaoui directs and stars as Agathe, a self-regarding feminist who is entering into politics, returns to her childhood home only to be persuaded by the housekeeper’s son (Jamel Debbouze, Amélie), an aspiring filmmaker, and his friend (Jean-Pierre Bacri, Jaoui’s creative partner) to be the subject of a series of programmes on 'successful women'.

Purgatory. This film isn't bad, I even tittered once or twice but there is nothing here which engages. The characters are unlikeable, the story rambling and directionless and it just all feels very smug. I can only speculate that perhaps the script was originally very clever but destroyed by ham-fisted translation, but that is just the optimist in me.
