Consistently riveting documentary. Holocaust movies often paint the Jews as helpless or clueless sheep being easily led to their doom, so it's important to remember that there were those who tried to fight back. Their failures are unbearably tragic, and even their successes are extremely minor in the grand scheme of things. The film maintains a good balance of interviews, narration and stock footage, and the inclusion of recordings of partisan fight songs is a beautiful tribute to their spirit.
