Summary: Usurer Purushu (Mammootty), called 'parunthu' (eagle) for the merciless way he swooped down on his delinquent clients, wrecks the family of Hemant (Jagathi) & his two daughters Rakhi (Lakshmi Rai) & Bhuvana (Poornitha), after he abases Hemant for default, during Rakhi's betrothal. Purushu's foe Kallayi Azeez (Jayakumar) seizes the opportunity & helps the family, with the aim of bedding the girls.
