To be sure, this isn't a great movie. But it's not horrid either. If you go in expecting it to be the G-rated loose parody of Die Hard that it is, you'll be much less disappointed. Nobody over the age of 14 will find anything redeeming in this film, but with the right mindset (and a few drinks) adults will be able to tolerate it.

Once you get past the cliches, the crooks on bikes/skateboards, the over-reliance on parkour, fat jokes, brainless side characters, and so forth, it's not an awful Die Hard parody, I suppose. James' character is likable, but everyone else is flat as hell. How did this make so much money?

Very standard fat guy movie - low self esteem fat guy chases a pretty girl, gets the girl in the end. The setting is in the mall. There were a few funny moments though.

not very good at all, but then didnt expect much before i watched this! James did an alright job, and a few laughs which made it slighly enjoyable, stick it on in the background if you fancy a few laughs but thats about it !

Starts out painful but ends up perfectly passable; I know I would've loved this when I was a kid. Paul Blart's actually my first time enjoying something with Kevin James in it--and that's despite him embarrassing me by bringing ten times the agility to the table in spite of him being three times my size. Mediocre, but far from woeful or offensive.
