Summary: A group of old friends gather to celebrate their 20 year reunion. Among the group is a cold and unhappy man. His depression becomes more apparent when he climbs a railroad bridge and looks like he might jump. At this crucial moment, memories of seven crucial episodes from Yeong-ho's past flood his mind.

It's structure makes it less about what will happen and more about why something has happened, and that the three crucial powers that effect our main character Yong-ho's life are the Gwangju massacre, the tightening grip of the government and the Asian financial crisis is no coincidence. The reoccurance of symbols, including tear drops, candy and the train which will one day kill Yong-ho, add to the inevitability of the whole thing. Very moving.
