I don't think Percy Jackson is that bad, despite its many flaws -- especially the mythological allegories, just a means to and end, aka action scenes. I was sort of drawn into it right at the beginning, and really had a good time with it.
Fun little movie, but not wholly original. The most memorable thing about the movie to me was how amazing Rosario Dawson looked. Like Nicole Kidman in Batman Forever, its scary to think that Rosario Dawson's hotness is being wasted on such an undeserving movie.
Quite better than I thought it'd be. I don't think I read anything very positive about this movie when it came out, but it was pretty enjoyable and held my attention throughout. As long as you're not the type that has to dissect every little piece of the plot and pick apart what does and doesn't make sense, you should like this.
a sorry excuse to juice the money out of american children that they got from their parents. not a very interesting movie, plot holes all over. the only plus for this movie is that it replaces the tokin' black guy with a goatin' black guy, that's funny, right?
I usually try to see past my bias when I read novels before they are adapted to screen, but somehow I couldn't for this movie since it was way off and the end fighting scene with Luke just sucked.
Surprisingly entertaining with nice effects above average for its kind. The actors are also pretty good - too bad that the overall feel is a bit stupid thanks to a kids story and a horrible last 10 minutes.
