The two very polite gophers went from "amusing" and "unique" in their cartoon debut to "annoying" and "borderline insufferable" in this one. Their banter is overdone and idiotic here, and it doesn't help matters that they're genuinely the assholes, invading poor Elmer Fudd's home, terrorizing him, and using his house as nut storage. (Hasn't he suffered enough?) It also doesn't appear that any effort was put into the comic ideas, either. Overall, it's a mailed-in, crappy short.

Elmer Fudd vs the Polite Chipmunks? Count me in. I love how the gophers pretty much ruin Fudd's life while remaining impossibly chipper and friendly throughout.
