The scariest movie I ever saw in my childhood. Uh... and then I grew up.

It's a classic piece of cheese. An amusing enough watch once you get past the bad acting, plot holes and cliches.

You need to kill Miko Hughes when you have the chance.

Not scary at all. The book was what got me into horror though.

I have to admit this score is irrational; Pet Sematary is a terrible film with bad acting and gross-out scares. But I find it strangely watchable, possibly because the book is one of my favorite pieces of horror fiction. One thing that does piss me off is how they screwed up the Timmy Baterman flashback, which is incredibly creepy in the novel but forgettable in the adaptation.

When I was a kid this movie scared me quite a bit. Re-watching this as an adult it didn't age as well as I would have hoped, but it still has enough creepy moments to make it a decent horror flick. Adaptation wise it was pretty accurate too, but that's probably because King wrote the screenplay as well.

Zelda was the cause of many a sleepless night for me as a kid. Still the scariest film character I can think of.

Features some predictable but very chilling scenes, especially the famous one of Fred Gwynne's character getting his tendons slashed. I loved the premise of things spiraling further and further out of control, but the first hour or so of this film is brutally slow. It's not as if there was a lack of material from the book; the pacing is just horrible, and some of what occurs on-screen is downright irrelevant. Still, it's an enjoyable horror film with a few highly memorable moments.
