A good blend of stoner comedy, action, and 'bromance', but not very coherant - but it works because they're totally high for most of the movie. I can't lie, Seth Rogen and James Franco made me laugh on cue and were pretty entertaining to watch stumble around in a panicked stupor.

Fairly disappointing Apatow joint. As with Harold and Kumar, I love the stupidity of the story, I just didn't connect with the humour. Too much "I'm so high!" humour. Franco's character is cliché, McBride is annoying and Rogen is at his worst. The 'Pulp Fiction'-like end scene is awesome, though.

I was surprised that I actually kind of liked this. Give it a try even if stoner movies aren't your thing.

A surprisingly funny action stoner comedy -- somewhat oxymoronic, but still -- that hits a lot of the right notes in terms of laughs and plot. There are some parts that don't work, sure, but overall it's a pretty interesting way to spend an hour and a half, and even though McBride falters occasionally, Franco and Rogen are a joy to watch.

Boring and tedious, I can see how it would be fairly entertaining to some people though.

Unique. The climax is a little disturbing, but everything prior to that -- golden. I love the movie's tone, reminds me of the action scenes in Life Aquatic. The violent ending is supposed to be ironic I guess, but seeing these lovable stoner dudes casually murdering people is very... un-dude, man. Other than that, great comedy. Great performance by Franco, very funny dialogue.
