Summary: Doctor Baines has been conducting genetic experiments on piranhas and has made them virtually unstoppable. Unfortunately, his assistants, Maggie and Paul, accidentally release the hybrids into the Lost River Lake threatening to destroy everyone in their path. Can they prevent the flesh-eating piranhas from escaping into the ocean and spawning? (imdb)

This Piranha version is even worse than the original. There were 2 hilarious scenes in it of 2 seconds. It wasn't even so bad it's hilarious... I was dissapointed. But a piranha made an eagle sound

I thought I was recording the Joe Dante version off TV, but I guess mistakes can be made...what I got instead was still a really flat and disinteresting horror film. The silly rubber piranha with giant yellow eyes were amusing, and for a film that might have been made for American television there's a surprising amount of gore and nudity (presumably it was made for a station like Showtime which had no problems with this?), but it's pretty dull.
