Cuts out a lotta the subplots that made Planet Hulk a fun read. It's still a decent movie, but it basically moves from fight scene to fight scene (often using a fight scene to transition to a fight scene). On top of that, the animation wasn't as great as it could have been.

You'd think that a wide-release 1.5 hour animated DVD film would have better production values than your average 30-minute animated TV show, but Marvel proves this is not the case with their worst dud yet in this arena. I can't comment on the storytelling because I just could not get past the awful animation: a lack of detail and style as if they just animated the preliminary storyboard, uninspired and boring fight choreography, and a bland washed-out color palette are the major deal-breakers.

It's not the best of the Marvel animated movies -- the plot is a little fight-heavy, there are a number of gaping holes in the story and the animation itself could be improved -- but ultimately it's a pretty good narrative that keeps you interested for the full run-time.
