Summary: A small-town sheriffs' department has to deal with an outbreak of murderous, infected people called "sickos." A gun-legged woman named Cherry (Rose McGowan) and her martial arts-wielding partner (Freddy Rodriguez) take on the zombie army. (IMDB)
The problem with lovingly homaging crappy '70s b-movies is if you're successful you've created... a crappy '70s b-movie. Almost coming across as a collection of Rodriguez offcuts, PT never really impresses in any area, and as such is just a bit dull. Has some amusing moments, and Rose McGowan is almost worth the watch alone, but all in all it's a little too authentic for its own good. Death Proof is by far the better of this Grindhouse pairing.
This movie is just a great take on the grindhouse movies of the 70's....it has the tongue and cheek humor mixed with action and alot of horror..and Fergie dies...cant go wrong with this
The better of the two 'Grindhouse' films thanks to the creative characters and storyline and an impressive cast. It starts out a little on the odd side and never really stops with crazy death scenes and very funny moments. Freddy & Rose are the stand-outs from the cast for sure. There isn't really any other film like it which is why it stands out from the other zombie films out there. Overall sure its not the best, but very entertaining and one that I'd definitley reccomend!
This film is a random as it gets but still great fun and the gore is awesome. Must see zombie flik, more of a comedy than anything else. The chick as a gun for a leg for christ sake. Check it out!!
One of the two movies on the Grindhouse bill. This was fairly creative and fun to watch with some outstanding gore. Kind of fizzles toward the silly ending but McGowan is fun to watch.
