Summary: Three heads - a man, wife, and mistress - look out from urns, and relate the story of the man's affair and the wife's reaction to it, in a rhythmic, overlapping gabble, repeated twice to convey the idea of eternity. These lives, brought to crisis point by a very physical interruption - adultery -are condemned to a disembodied, inhuman, mechanical repetition of a previous existence. (imdb comments)

Beautifully filmed, but like a lot of Beckett's shorts it seems intent on trying to lull you into a false sense of profundity. While there are occasional gems in the script, there's far less here than meets the eye (despite good performances from all of the cast).

Incredibly unique, and the kind of film I could love just for that fact. The dialog, while virtually impossible to follow, is captivating and the repetition means you actually get something out of it. Highpoint is the cinematography and editing, their disjointed nature accenting the rhythmic dialog perfectly. Pretty great.
