So much better then post-1942 Popeye cartoons. But still didn't impress me all that much. Very silly, and the humor is kind of shallow, or at very least not my kind of. Also it is very weird, that everyone seems to be just mumbling dialogs.

This is actually halfway decent... which really makes it stick out from the crowd of other Popeye cartoons. Still, we're not exactly talking about _The Passion of Joan of Arc_, here. (How's that for a mental picture? Olive Oyl with tears streaming down her face as she's about to be burned at the stake: "I wuv Gawd with my whole heart!")

One of the best Popeye shorts. Nice use of the 3-D backgrounds and one funny gag after another.

My favourite Popeye of all time, the animation is fun and the song is amazing.

I can't really remember much about it since it's been years, but I remember really loving the early Popeye cartoons for their sheer silliness.
