The problem with this film is the end. The main plot is not enough to give us a strong finish so they decided just to make up some conclusions to plot strands that were not emphasised, flagged as something to remember or mentioned more than once. As each of these manufactured, emotionally blackmailing payoffs are thrown at us one after another they feel like jabs to the face. How about THIS happy ending eh, you feeling good yet? Ok how about THIS one and THIS one. I felt punch drunk, and sick.
