I liked it. I really liked it. It had suspense, action, romance, the pacing was good, the acting was good. I found very little not to like in this movie. If you expecting intelligence and surprises, this isn't that movie. You just wanna be entertained? This is it. The plot? We must go up. That's it, folks. It's a simple movie.

Good remake but with many similarities to the orginal. Suspensefull in different parts.

A boring and predictable remake that never should have been made. It wastes a top line cast, and made some really impressive special effects of the ocean liner turned upside down worthless. Do yourself a favor and see the original "The Poseidon Adventure" with Gene Hackman. The best quote about this movie was from Carol Lynley (star of the original TPA) who walked out of the Hollywood premiere and said "I liked our movie better."

If only the ship sunk faster than the movie. Awlful!

Does the synopsis really call Wolfgang Petersen a "master storyteller"? Yikes.

It's a pretty good theatre movie, but the dialogue makes baby Jesus cry.

Eye candy. Great special effects but not a keeper.
