I was woefully unprepared for this attempt at understanding the work of Uwe Boll (should have sprang for that bottle of Everclear). His "piece de resistance" is one of the most puerile, inept, execrable movies I've ever been exposed to, supposedly intended as shocking, meta-satire, whatever... which excuses nothing: intentionally bad movies are still bad movies. Pondering what kind of mind spends millions to produce the cinematic equivalent of armpit farts, however, might get you through this.

It's his best work yet, but still fairly lacking. Still, despite it's major flaws you can tell he's trying.

This movie could actually have been a laugh, but it underlines Bolls complete lack of basic moviemaking skills.

I realize that this comes pretty close to the game and regarding that it might be an okay movie, but since my rating is based on my enjoyment it gets the same score the game would get.

This movie has absolutely no political-correctness whatsoever, and it knows it. It doesn't try to be anything other than fun, and I think it succeeds in a big way. No less than 2 dozen times during the movie was I amazed it actually got made. It takes a poke at just about everything: America, the president, welfare, the IRS, the Taliban, cops, even Uwe Boll himself. It aint no thinkin movie, but I'll be damned if I didn't have a blast with it.

do not, under any circumstances, watch this movie sober. or even close to sober. this movie is like a worse version of the game, if you had your controller unplugged. the only redeeming quality of this movie is how impressively bad it is.

i wouldn't go so far as to call it GOOD. but it's definitely the best boll movie so far. there's some pretty funny stuff actually, i wonder if a more 'talented' director could cut this into a better film...

Probably Boll's magnum opus, it captures the spirit of the game extremely well. Unfortunately the game was an inane mess full of tasteless nonsense. Despite being a terrible movie in every way, there are some fleeting moments of genuine humour.

Sadly, it barely evokes the spirit of the game, and it's quite predictable. The intro was probably the best part of the movie.

Bad enough to be funny at times.

Take the most retarded game ever and let the most retarded filmmaker ever make a movie out of it. Excellent concept really. The results aren't quite stellar, but its entertaining enough (in a doped up, guilty pleaure, Broken-Lizard-on-crack kind of way) that it's fairly watchable.

Love Uwe Boll the dude, just wished Uwe Boll the director could make an enjoyable film.

Uwe Boll's best, but that's not saying much. The general consensus, from what I've read on Criticker and everywhere else, is that the first 5 minutes sketch, which really has little to nothing to do with the movie itself, is actually funny. I was surprised to find out that this is actually true and I was honestly (but shortly) entertained in a Uwe Boll film. However, after those 5 minutes it regresses into a movie relying simply on shock value for the sake of shock value and isn't funny.

unrepentant and offensive, postal is over-the-top in all the right ways. the best part is all those completely rediculous parts make it all more fun. it's funny that boll's biggest economic loss (millions) is his best entertainment gain.

Not a very good movie, but there was a bonus feature that had Uwe Boll boxing his critics, which is probably one of the most bad ass things I've ever seen a director do.

This should have been atrocious. But it actually had some very funny part. Most of it however was horrible. Grade: D Plus

Points for Uwe Boll cameo and Verne Troyer's line delivery and Jackie Tohn's hotness. Everything else, i have no words for. They spent a lot of money for a shot where Verne Troyer gets raped by 1000 monkeys.

Like in "Josie and the Pussycats" the first scene was the best one.

Much better than everyone seems to think. It's not great by any means, but has that over-the-top Troma feel to it and Uwe Boll uses himself for some gags. It's silly, but it's funny. And if you ever wanted to see Dave Foley's wang... here you go.

You know what? I got to see Scott Farkus all grown up (actually a decent lead), Verne Troyer get buttfucked by chimps, the Soup Nazi as Osama bin Laden, and Dave Foley's dong. For the first and probably only time Boll gave me my money's worth, well more than it in fact, so I'm gonna go right ahead and call this a magnum opus.

In bad taste, gratuitously violent, self-aware, and unyieldingly offensive. In short, it perfectly captures the themes and atmosphere of the game. It's technically not a good film by any stretch of the imagination, but its irreverent, self-deprecating humor and acknowledgement of its (and its director's) shortcomings is part of its charm. I found it to be entertaining even after multiple viewings, as long as you can stomach its tasteless brand of humor.

A few funny moments floating in a dull and motionless lake.

Very bland and uninteresting. At times Boll tries to generate laughs through sheer offensiveness, but it's so pathetically sophomoric that it never elicits even the slightest shock. If you're looking for brain-dead, sub-primitive shock humor, go for a Troma film like Toxic Avenger or something, which has at least some low-budget charm.

Absolutely mind-numbing and absurd, and just passable enough to be enjoyable. Fun Fact: "Postal Dude" is Farkus, the yellow-eyed bully from 'A Christmas Story'!

Personally I think this is as perfect of an adaptation that you can get out of a movie. I think they got the spirit of the plot-less game perfectly. It over-the-top, offensive, and just plain absurd. Maybe that's what hurts the movie but this definitely had some charm and I found myself enjoying it and just because postal is way better than his past work ill be generous and give this a better score. I think its fair to say this is Uwe Boll's magnum opus for all the fans out there (all 3 of you)
