Summary: Four young men, Balagopalan aka Balu (Mukesh), Prakashan (Siddique), Freddy (Keerikkadan Jose) & Benny, join Jaffer Sherif's (Mammukoya) 'Oscar Film Institute', aspiring to become actors & directors, but even after many tries, success eluded them. Balu's father Velandi (Mala Aravindan), a Parrot Astrologer, passes away, forcing Balu to take up astrology to feed his family.
