Summary: Keira Knightly stars as Elizabeth Bennet in this classic tale of love and misunderstanding which unfolds in class-conscious England near the close of the 18th century. (Focus Features)
Well, thats lowest rank ever because of the most horrifying story ive ever seen. If you are male liking this, than Im afraid that I have bad news; youre gay.
An enchanting and absolutely beautiful adaptation of Jane Austen's novel. Knightly heads a cast of all-stars with a performance of a life-time. Truly a delight to watch.
My recent viewings of these types of films (European period films?) have all been melodramatic; either a mistress and wife bickering or a sudden death that shocks all involved. This does away with the 'norm' and tells a simple, yet elegant story of love. As with most of her films, Keira Knightley is magnificent.
Great filmadaptation of some 19th century literature. However the book is 200 years old, the story is still as romantic as it could be. Characters are true and believable and the whole scenery is mesmerizing. Of course very clichéd and predictable but still, this film defenitely outmatches other films in its genre.
Meet the Bennets, the family of five daughters and follow their silly society while experieancing The most wittiest , believable and agreeable pairings on screen -Elizabeth - the proud one and Darcy the prejudiced one - best pairing ever
Ah, I have such a crush on Mr. Darcy. I detest romance stories but this actually feels awfully realistic. Jane Austen's caustic wit, combined with excellent performances, visually stunning cinematography and a beautiful soundtrack, tells the story of two people so unlikely to tolerate one another and yet with such intertwined traits that, amidst their flaws and misconceptions, find affection and attachment. At the end, I couldn't help but grin like a kid with a lollipop. Still - a mere romance.
