This could have been a great film however censorship rules in place at the time forced the filmmaker's to significantly tone done the Mother's prostitution and curtailed any exploration of that theme and ultimately made the plot a little less interesting because of that.Ginger Rodgers and Joel McCrea anchor this film with there great on screen chemistry and wonderful performances. The supporting cast all give good performances that really add to this films charm.
