It's good, though like with a lot of Nikolaidis' films I'm not completely sold on it. As far as directing what's on screen he is fantastic, really stylistically assured and with a great skill at creating mood. But his scripts feel so cumbersome (Singapore Sling works because it is pastiching film noir, but the muddled quality just doesn't work for me in his other films). Still, Morning Patrol creates a convincing mood of despair and hopelessness, and its crumbling world is almost haunting.
