Hollywood traditiony gives dramatic roles to stand-up comedians like Jamie Foxx in Ray!, Whoopie Goldberg in The Color Purple and many more. In Punchline Hanks shows that it goes both ways. I am a huge Hanks fan, so I might be biased, but this is a sweet and funny movie about the humbling life of stand-up comedians trying to make it. Hanks is funny and loverable as upcoming comedian Steven Gold. Sally Field is a constant scene stealer. So if you like stand-up and drama, this is a must see movie!
