Quadrophenia

Very much a quintessentially british film, not sure how much it resonates with a world audience but a lot to take from this as a cultural time capsule of boomer working class youth in 60's england. Daniels is a sensation in this, his raw enthusiasm goes a long way to carrying this story - no other characters seem that well formed (i really don't care for his love interest and Sting's cameo seems pretty worthless) a lot of points for that incredible crescendo at the end on the cliffs
