Matthew Quigley: I like his looks. I love his sense of humor. I like his coolness under fire. I love his big gun. I love his proficiency with his big gun. I love his willingness to use his big gun in defense of the innocent. Crazy Cora: I love her looks. I love her sense of humor. I like the love story, the action, and the adventure in this movie, but most of all, I love this movies sense of humor.

Starts off horribly but thankfully it does improve. It never actually reaches an impressive quality but it at least becomes watchable. The main problem with the film is that it's absolutely jam-packed with stereotypes. Women are emotional rollarcoasters, the gruff, spitting American with an unbeatable dry wit, the goofy English with their monocles. It'll pass the time for one watch but I can't say I'd recommend it when there are plenty of better westerns out there.

Like a badass western movie, but in Australia. Probably a better rating than this deserves, but this movie has a special place in my heart being that its the first western my dad showed me.

An extremely corny western, but most of the time I couldn't help but laugh. I'd recommend it for the one-liners.

Poorish Aussie western is made a little more tolerable by Selleck's charm and San Giacomo's giant rack.

Spectacularly miscast and mostly ill-conceived, what with its unsavory racial paternalism and its lighthearted treatment of trauma-induced mental illness and its goofy omnipresent score, but not entirely without its moments -- all of which are provided by Alan Rickman. "Some men are born in the wrong century. I think I was born on the wrong continent."

Apart from its outback setting, a conventional and unoriginal Western, given perfunctory treatment.

A decent Western, although not very convincing. The backdrop of Australia, and the Aborigines instead of the usual Indians was a pleasant change. BUT, what was with Quigley (Selleck) saying "shit" from time to time? Did people used to use "shit" as an expletive in the 1800s?!
