I liked it a lot! Just hits the right notes for this kind of movie.

It's not without its flaws -- not least Cromwell's Hearst, whose dialogue feels massively more stilted than it should -- but on story alone it gets by; throw in great performances by Schrieber and Malkovich, and you get a piece that's really something quite special.

Takes it a little easy on Welles but has a very humanizing take on Hearst so that seems fair. Excellent casting, especially for made for TV (except Joseph Cotten; he was awful). Makes Orson out to be more of a winner than he really was but gives a nice look into the making of Kane. Highly Recommended.
