Summary: Durgadathan (Babu Antony) returns to his birth place, from where he & his mother Kannamma (Srividya) were driven away years ago. There, at the Poomangalam palace, he meets Bharatha Varma (M.G. Soman) & his adopted daughter Gayathri (Charmila), who were living there like servants after being cheated out of all their riches by Varma's brother-in-law Rajadeva Varma (N.F. Varghese). Durgadathan gets protective towards Gayathri & later also learns that he is Bharatha Varma's illegitimate son. (by iceblox)
