The young brown rabbit and the puma are pandering to the audience, and perform way too much winking and nudging at the camera, making the gags far too self-evident. Bottom line is that nothing in this one is very funny.

There's a reason neither the brown rabbit nor the Puma showed up in any other cartoons because, as characters, they sucked. I've always felt McKimson didn't really understand Bugs' character since it seems he kept placing Bugs into the aggressor role instead of something more self-defensive. Oh well.
