Summary: A brother and sister who run away from home find sanctuary in a deserted nature reserve. When the sister falls into the trap of a psychopathic killer, the brother sets out on a race against time to find help. In a twist of fate the rescue of the sister becomes inadvertently intertwined with the lives of a group of young tennis players, a ranger and his dog, as well as a team of policemen. (imdb)

A lot of people clearly missed the mark on this film. Israel's first horror film and it's a goodie. A highly political film on the state of Israeli life and politics disguised as a thrilling slasher film. The most multi-layered and sophisticated horror film since Martyrs. Wonderful.

Call me conservative but this is a bit of a stretch: A random assortment of 20-40 year olds happen by chance into the same grove. Half of them happen to suddenly turn into violent psychopaths (without contracting rabies, as the title falsely suggests) and the rest are accident-prone idiots. Coincidentally, the woods are full of pit and bear (!) traps and live mines (!!). Add tear-jerking melodrama, infidelity and incest to the mix, and resulting is the world's first totally random slasher pic.

No matter what you're expecting, this film wont be it. A horror film where almost everyone is the villain, and almost no-one is a hero. If you find that intruiging at all, you could do a lot worse than spending 90 minutes watching this movie.

I've been sat here for five minutes trying to think of something to say. There isn't anything. It went straight out of my mind once I'd left the cinema. Supposedly this is Isreal's first horror film. Hopefully it will be their last.
