Summary: A UFO expert enlists the help of a cabbie to protect two siblings with paranormal powers from the clutches of an organization that wants to use the kids for their nefarious plans
A decent Disney kids flick, and one of the better recent films that Disney has released lately. Dwayne Johnson leads the cast as he attempts to help two alien children. Its a creative storyline and it should prove rather exciting for kids as there is plenty of action and enough to keep them interested. While the film is mostly aimed at a younger audience its also easy for adults to enjoy also. Overall there was plenty to like here and its worth a look, especially fans of Disney.
Movies like this one get made all the time. It's inoffensive, watchable and not really worth your time. And I knew that putting it on. But, hey, even in below-average flicks The Rock never really disappoints, so why not?
I was really looking forward to this movie, and other then The Rock, there is not much to like. Anna Sophia Rob shines, but her cardboard counterpart drags her down. The story is boorish and predictable.
I appreciated the gun-rights moment and making fun of UFO people. I know some kids will get a kick out of it, but it was very predictable. I wish I'd had a movie cliché Bingo board.
dont dismiss it immediately as an attempt to squeeze some profits out of a long dead title, it's not the piece of crap you would think. it is however no groundbreaking movie, but what it is, is a great candidate for a movie to take your kids to...if you have kids...and if you have to take them to a movie.
Totally Different Story-Line than from the 70s. Although, this was more comical and the graphics were way better than the older, I still like the 70s better. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Rock and the Scientist Girl in this movie. Majority of the times I prefer the original. I was highly pleased with this adaption though!! The Rock made the movie quite interesting and for once NO BAD LANGUAGE! There is though some rough violence, so I don't reccomand anyone under 8 or 7 to watch this movie!! W
Good: special effects; Bad: too kiddish, cinematography, acting, no chemistry between lead lady & Rock, jokes, main villain cliche, main bad alien was lame
