Another one of those things that looks like it was patched together from some serial. Melton was like a cut-rate Morey Amsterdam, and (tragically) was still probably the best thing about this production. When the cop car pulled up to Tom Neal at the end of Detour, it must've been so they could drive him over to appear in this (no wonder he was so mopey and doom-laden throughout that one).
