I wanted to feel closer to everything; maybe it's a comfort zone sensibility for Woody. Whatever, this is warm and wonderful, and has one of my favourite soundtracks.

A string of nostalgic anecdotes; some of them fall flat but most are either touching or amusing.

A lovely paean to family, childhood and, of course, radio. The plot is scattershot but it never feels slight or underdeveloped, as its many tangents contribute to a touching whole. Very funny, bittersweet and nostalgic; one of Allen's most charming films.

Usually when people, including myself, say "there wasn't much of a plot," it's a slam against the movie. Oddly enough, that's not the case here. The movie was just a series of stories, intentionally portrayed as either exaggerated or fictitious, which made the movie so charming and light hearted that I never found myself caring about the overall plot. That's unusual for me. Let me say this though. Mia Farrow gives perhaps the worst double performance I've ever seen. I don't like her at all

Woody's "Amarcord." Beautiful, evocative, but very funny too. Julie Kavner and Diane Wiest are standouts.

A meandering film which, while amusing, lacks any focal points. Not much stands out and overall doesn't give the audience much to walk away with but its heart is in the right place.

"Radio Days" is mostly a sweet, light, nostalgic take on the pre-TV golden age of radio. It is capable of awakening memories and exciting feelings, mainly thanks to the superb performances. Still, sometimes it feels merely like a sweet indifferent little movie that lacks Woody's special touch.

This is an average Woody Allen film. There are a few funny moments but overall I found the movie boring. I am a fan of a lot of his films but this one didn't really do anything for me.

A couple of Woody's nostalgic anecdotes are rather sweet. Overall, however, his film plays like a forgettable string of underdeveloped sketches.

Captivating nostalgic reflection of the 1940s; deeply felt and unusually fond in tone for a Woody film (though it's his memories so OF COURSE the weather is bad!) Beautifully produced and performed by a terrific cast of former Woody co-stars, with Farrow stealing the show as loud-mouthed cigarette girl, and Wiest hilarious as always as ever hopeful Aunt Bea. A truly wonderful film.

"Radio Days" is a rather small film for Woody, albeit a wonderfully delightful, heartfelt and funny one. Full of nostalgia for an idealized era and a bunch of crazy situations, Allen's coming-of-age story is alternatively hilarious and sensitive, but without resorting to manufactured sentimentalism. The cast is great, literally stuffed with Woody regulars, including the always reliable Dianne Wiest, Mia Farrow who adorably fakes silliness, as well as a terrific cameo by Diane Keaton.
