Summary: A surreal, hyperactive farce in which a bumbling petty thief and the lady cop who keeps arresting him fall in love and decide to start a family. When they discover they can't have babies, they steal one from a furniture mogul who has just sired a set of quintuplets. The joys of parenthood are soon marred, however, by the difficulties of raising an infant on the run. The none-too-bright couple must flee across the southwestern desert in order to elude the villainous biker that has been hired to retrieve the tyke. (20th Century Fox)

This was the first Coen brothers movie I saw (at an early age) and I was hooked. Cage is a perfect fit here. Lot's of laughs through out this strange comedy, while still remaining tame enough for a family viewing.

"Worst of their best" is a good summation of the Coen Brothers' first comedy (that isn't Crimewave). Not all the jokes are great or age well, but the revelatory over-acting and ridiculousness of the performances are also worth some laughs. Regardless, many of the Coen signatures are present. This one is probably skippable unless you're a big Coen Brothers fan or completist. Weird to think they went from Blood Simple, to this, to Miller's Crossing in 6 years time.
