Summary: Vishwanathan (Mammootty) & Janani (Suhasini) fall in love in college & get married, even after Janani's father, famous singer & college principal Ragam Vaidya Nathan (Adoor Bhasi), opposes their relationship. However, later when Vishwanathan becomes a great singer & Janani becomes a renowned dancer, their egos clash, causing Vishwanathan to walk out with their infant. 8 years later, on the verge of Janani being awarded the prestigious 'Natya Sri' award, Vishwanathan returns, for revenge.
