Terrific individual performances within a handful of powerfully comic yet understated scenes, but the film as a whole is not quite the sum of its parts. Not really sure how well this addresses "old west vs. new west" but the ending seemed a little too neat and tidy for my satisfaction. May need a few more viewings on this one; seems to flirt with greatness, but lacks something I can't put my finger on.
