Dated, but still moving '40s classic with Garson and Colman. Parts of it are tender and beautiful, but other parts are overplayed, maudlin, and about as subtle as a clunk on the head or a taxi across the sternum.

Sappy melodrama, mediocre writing, pretty good acting. Greer Garson gives it her all.

Amnesia, the plot device that keeps on giving. Everything the film is premised on is overwrought and we get more pining than romancing, but it still works somehow. Probably because Greer Garson gives a fantastic performance and the rest of the cast is pretty good too.

Random Harvest is an all-around lovely movie and one of the most romantic stories ever brought to screen.

A simple story that's none the less touching in that Classic Hollywood sense [classic =/= corny for those of the uninitiated]. I guess I'm a sucker cause even the most inconceivable plot points had me invested, I give the credit to two incredible leads and perfect filmmaking in all fields. Greer Garson can do no wrong but she's actually outclassed by Colman, this is his movie.
