It's easy to see why Mary Pickford was known as "America's Sweetheart". This is yet another good example of how some stars are so charismatic that they basically wind up owning the film. There's one scene where she gets into a fight with another girl; I wanted to exclaim, "GET HER ASS, MARY!" but that might have unsettled the other patrons in the cinema

Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm is a very good and light-hearted silent film; worth watching for the hilarious circus scene.
