A strong entry in the "mismatched cop duo" series of films, since it features a Soviet cop paired with an American one, which is far more realistic and thoughtful than having a black dude with a white one, or a crazy and reserved one. The actual case is a routine drug trail, but is buoyed by solid performances from both Belushi and Arnie. There are also several notable action scenes, including the finale. Predictable and dull at times, but overall, a very decent crime flick.

It's a mismatched-cop movie that pretty much follows the extremely worn out formula. Could have been good if they had focused more on developing Arnold's character and his Soviet background. Arnold's performance is really very good here. Unfortunately much of the screen time is wasted on boring stuff like Belushi and Gershon.
