Seemingly routine oater that gets into some interesting discussions about the cycle of violence. The love interest knows exactly what she is and what's going to transpire: "You'll take the job, sell your guns, lose interest, and move on. Every gunslinger comes and goes." Jack Arnold shows some of that visual flair, but none of the visual poetry he displayed in Black Lagoon. Rory Calhoun is unforgivably bland, though.
