This story is quite underrated since it is not "funny". More serious Pixar work. Animation and mood (excluding circus scene) is brillaint. Look at rendering in the price tag and do not forget the time it was made!

Far removed from most of Pixar's other short films, Red's Dream is considerably more downbeat and sombre than what you might find yourself expecting. The animation is generally good, but the clown (apparently Pixar's first attempt at an organic character) leaves much to be desired, and lets the film down as a whole.
