Hilarious, over-the-top parody of American martial arts films of that era. Good acting, decent fights, but could have stood to have a few more action scenes, or tightened up its pacing. Very much underrated gem.

A little seen film, and it's weird seeing a white man playing an asian man, but it's actually pretty entertaining. It's too bad the adventure never continued.

There's a spectacular fight high atop the Statue of Liberty, but this is too long and uncertain of itself to work completely.

An acrophobic (and acrobatic) set piece on the scaffolding of the Statue of Liberty, about halfway through, gives things a shove, but they immediately drag their feet again. Some good photography, especially of New York after dark, by Andrew Laszlo.

Though far from a classic, this is a surprisingly good and entertaining version of Sapir & Murphy's long-running DESTROYER series of pulp adventure novels -- the movie's producers should have kept the original name. Joel Grey is terrific here as always. Trivia: Dick Clark's company produced this. My friend Lee Weeks drew the Marvel comics version -- very well.

Another wannabe series that never managed to get past Part 1. It isn't good, but it has a sort of endearingly goofy quality

In one right, a one of a kind action movie. In another right, an invitation to wonder what the hell happened to Fred Ward. I mean...people run on water in this movie. Years before Ang Lee even thought about that crap. You saw it here first.

Cheesy, campy, and outdated, but god, it was fun! The fact that this series never took off was a huge loss. Totally 80s, and Fred Ward is great.
