Very weird. Cox takes a low budget and papers all the cracks with a blend of bedroom creativity and post-MTV kitsch. The unashamed use of toy models is a jarring shock at first, but you come to appreciate it as tongue-in-cheek and a necessary money saver. Same goes for the bad compositing. The script is part silliness, part nonsense, and frankly a chore to endure, but at least there are a few funny moments. It's a hard movie to love, but you have to give Cox credit for his playful inventiveness.
