This is standard early '70s Euro-horror junk, arty and dumb and with an especially sexist outlook in its treatment of its female characters.

Intriguing settings and beautiful, advertent framing doesn't quite hold on the attention in this tale of two young ladies finding themselves perplexed when faced with morbid vampirism in a mystical (and very "cinematic" (day and night come and go etc.) world. Rollin's severe but somehow restful impressionism is delightful, but doesn't turn into something particularly interesting here...
